PVD Coloured Stainless Steel Roof Band

A PVD coloured stainless steel roof band, produced as a continuous strip of metal that carries a metallic tone across a roof or around a facade. Colour on a roof reads differently from colour on a wall: it is seen against the sky, at a distance, and under constant change of light.

Colour as identity
A coloured band can tie a roof to the wider material palette or make the roof itself the identifying element. Because the tone shifts with the viewing angle, a PVD surface on a curved or folded roof changes through the day rather than holding one flat colour.
Batch consistency
Roof bands are long and are seen as one continuous line, so a colour shift between batches is far more visible than on a wall panel. PVD production for a roof band is held to an average colour difference below DE 1.0, and panels for one elevation are produced as one batch.
Exterior suitability
Whether a colour finish is appropriate for a given roof depends on the project environment, the substrate and the technical requirements of the specification. That assessment is made per project rather than assumed from the colour alone.
