Mirror Stainless Steel Elevator Door Panel
A mirror-finish stainless steel panel for elevator doors and their surrounds. In a compact cabin the reflection does more than decorate: it extends the perceived depth of the space and lifts the brightness without adding light fittings.
Where mirror works
Mirror finish is most effective where the cabin is small and the lighting is even. It is less suitable where doors and surrounds are handled constantly, because a mirror surface records marks and requires more frequent attention. Many projects therefore combine a mirror cabin wall with a satin or brushed door face.
Alignment at close range
Door panels and surrounds are viewed from directly in front, so any misalignment in the joint line or edge detail is immediately visible. Surround and door surfaces are produced together with the alignment and edge conditions resolved as one detail.
Finish consistency
Reflective surfaces show up any difference in polish between panels. Panels for one cabin are produced as a batch so the polish stays consistent, and the mirror is checked against a reference sample rather than described only by name.
