Detail Information

A perforated stainless steel screen produced as an external shading layer. The openings let the screen reduce direct light without closing the elevation, so the building keeps a sense of openness while the glass behind it is protected from the harshest angle of the sun.

Shading without a solid barrier

A solid louvre blocks the view as well as the light. A perforated screen separates the two: the panel cuts direct radiation while the openings keep a proportion of daylight, sightline and airflow. How much of each is retained depends on the open area, which is set by hole size and spacing rather than by the panel outline.

Hole geometry

Round, square, hexagonal and slotted openings each read differently at distance and each changes how light lands behind the screen. Slotted patterns introduce direction and movement across the panel, while regular round or square patterns hold a quieter geometric rhythm. Patterns can be combined, and density can shift across the panel where shading demand changes.

Fixing and tolerances

Screens are produced as finished components with edge detail and fixing positions resolved against the project. Because the panel is perforated before finishing, hole positions stay consistent across a production batch, which matters where screens repeat along a facade.

Material

304 stainless steel is the standard substrate, with 316L recommended for coastal sites according to MetalMagus project specification standards. Finish and grade are confirmed against the project location and exposure.
