Detail Information

A stainless steel facade panel with a controlled pattern of openings formed across the sheet. The perforation is not decoration applied to the surface: hole size, shape, spacing and arrangement set how much light passes, how much of the space behind stays visible, and how heavy the envelope reads at building scale.

What the pattern controls

Perforation performs on several levels at once. Openings let daylight through and cast changing shadow patterns; their density sets how much of the space behind remains visible; and the repeated geometry gives a large elevation a rhythm that a solid panel cannot produce. Open areas also allow air to move through screens and selected enclosures.

Density transitions

Changing hole density across a single panel creates a gradual shift between transparency and privacy, which is how a facade can be more open at a glazed bay and denser where views need screening. The transition is set in the perforation pattern rather than added as a separate component.

Fabrication and finish

Material preparation, perforation, surface finishing and fabrication run as one connected process, so the finished panel is not handed between separate suppliers. Substrate and finish are selected against the project: brushed, mirror and PVD colour surfaces are all used on perforated panels, with colour tolerance held at an average DE below 1.0 on coated batches.

Where it is used

Facade panels, second skins, sun-shading layers, screens and partitions, balustrade elements and decorative ceilings can all be produced from the same perforation approach. See the range on the perforated stainless steel panels page.
