Water Ripple Stainless Steel Feature Wall

Scale against distance

Ripple scale is set by how far away the wall is usually seen. Fine ripple works in a lift lobby; large ripple is needed where the wall is read across a room or a hall.

Lighting the relief

Grazing light exaggerates the relief and makes the wall dramatic; diffuse light flattens it into a soft sheen. Both conditions usually exist in one interior, so the wall is judged across the day.

Panel layout

Because the relief is in the sheet, panels are laid out so the pattern runs continuously across joints. A joint that cuts through a crest is visible from across the room.
