Three checks: the inspection report measured against the specified Ra 0.3, the delivered panels against the retained approved sample, and grain direction plus protective film condition at unpacking. Each answers a different question, and skipping one leaves a gap.
At pre-shipment
Report values against specification, panel-to-sample comparison under the project lighting, and confirmation that packing protects the finished face rather than the reverse.
At arrival
Film intact and not lifting, no transit marks on edges, grain running one way across the stack, and the first panel from each crate checked rather than only the top one.
For high-value facades
A third-party pre-shipment inspection. It costs a fraction of a re-finishing cycle and it converts a dispute about appearance into a report with measurements.
